Paul Casserly has been involved in broadcasting since being lured by the post-punk rumble leaking from the dank rooms of Radio B, at Auckland University, in the late 1980s. A stint as a panel operator on a nostalgia show at 1ZB gave him a taste for early recordings and late nights, and for the meandering genius of the callers. "It's a love/hate relationship" he says, before hanging up.
