Wulfsyarn by Phillip Mann

Wednesdays at 9:06pm from 14 November 2012

Audio will be available until midnight Wednesday 30 January 2013.

A ten part epic tale of the fate of the The Nightingale, the largest and most sophisticated space ship ever devised by human or alien intelligence.

It should not have happened: but shortly after commencing its maiden voyage, and fully laden with alien life-forms which it was ferrying to their home-worlds, The Nightingale vanished without trace... only to reappear in proximate space a year later,  but so profoundly damaged that its very survival in space was a miracle. Of the precious, living cargo which it carried there was no sign. The only creature still alive on The Nightingale was its captain, the enigmatic, Jon Wilberfoss, and he was insane.

Wulfsyarn is the tale of Wilberfoss' slow recovery and his final revelation of the horrific and strangely beautiful events that occurred aboard The Nightingale.

The epic story is narrated by Wulf, an ancient but skilled and efficient auto-scribe, who has access to the private records of The Nightingale and who slowly guides Wilberfoss back to sanity and to an understanding of his responsibility for what happened in that year of silence.
