  • 125 g butter
  • half a cup of brown sugar
  • one and a quarter cups of flour


  • 1 tablespoon of cornflower
  • 1 cup of long thread coconut
  • half a cup of brown sugar
  • 3 quarters of a cup of mixed dried fruit
  • 3 quarters of a cup of walnuts
  • half a packet of glace oranges and glaze citron
  • half a teaspoon of baking powder
  • half a teaspoon of vanilla
  • 2 eggs



  • Cream the butter and sugar. Rub in the flour. Press into a 20cm flan tin or a swiss roll tin (square or rectangle).


  • Bind all the topping ingredients together. Spread it on the raw base and bake for 25 minutes. Dust with icing sugar
