Hot Bircher Porridge
- ½ cup of stone ground oats (per person)
- 1 cup of water
- 1 Tsp linseed
- 1 Tsp wheatgerm
- 1 Tbs Greek yogurt
- 1 Tbs cream
- 1 Tsp butter
- pinch of salt
- 1 grated apple
- manuka honey
In a saucepan add oats, linseed, wheat germ, Greek yogurt, and water to cover oats. Mix together and leave overnight in the fridge.
Place saucepan on low heat and warm oat mixture adding more water (enough for desired consistency).
Add butter, salt and cream; stir until mixture begins to bubble
Pour into warmed bowls, place butter, cream, grated apple, walnuts and honey on top, and maybe some more cream… enjoy!
