Macadamia Nut Shortbread

  • 200 gram butter
  • ¾ cup cornflour
  • ¾ cup icing sugar
  • 1 ½ cups flour
  • ¾ cup chopped macadamia nuts
  • pinch salt


Cream butter and icing sugar together.

Stir in the sifted cornflour, flour and salt.

Add the macadamia nuts.

Roll into a sausage shape on a floured board.

Wrap in greaseproof paper and chill in the fridge.

When ready to bake, cut into thick slices and bake 35 minutes at 160°C

When cooked place on a tray to cool.
