Mountain Moonshine Mulled Wine

Ingredients

Makes 1.5 litres*

  •     1 bottle (750ml) medium-bodied red wine
  •     375ml water (or less for a stronger brew)
  •     375ml Mountain Moonshine

To garnish (optional):

  •     1 star anise
  •     1 cinnamon stick
  •     1 orange (thinly sliced)
  •     1 lemon (thinly sliced)

Method:

In a large pot, combine red wine, water and Mountain Moonshine. Heat gradually, stirring to an aromatic simmer. Be sure not to boil.

Pour into a pitcher/jug. Gently stir in garnish ingredients. Serve hot with gusto and a smile.

*To make one serving: 2 parts red wine, 1 part Mountain Moonshine, 1 part hot water
