The USA have been competed at ever Rugby World Cup since 1999, but have never advanced beyond the first phase of the tournament.

While American rugby teams have seen vast improvement over the years, the Eagles will have to fight for a World Cup win this time around.

The Eagles face a daunting World Cup assignment, where they tackle South Africa, Samoa, Scotland and Japan in Pool B.
