In March 2011, we were saddened to learn of the death of Maurice Till. I very much enjoyed knowing Maurice and the interview I conducted with him in his living room in Christchurch the previous October was fascinating and delightful. While obviously elderly at the time, he was still reasonably agile, his mind was sharp and his memory for detail was absolutely staggering. Here is the complete interview in 10 parts, largely unedited (I’ve only trimmed out a few bits in which we discussed how we might proceed and some obvious mistakes). As you can hear, I recorded far more than I was ever going to be able to use in a one-hour feature, but I feel that listeners will be interested to hear the bits that had to be left out. - Tim Dodd, Producer
