Invented Instruments

A concert recorded at the Invented Instrument Orchestra Convention held in Auckland in September last year.

The convention is a weekend mini-fest of workshops and concerts bringing together the adventurous best of New Zealand's experimental instrument builders/improvisers.

The “sonic exploration” features home-built acoustic, circuit-bent and digital devices by performers from around the country.

Performers include Daniel Beban, Phil Dadson, Jeff Henderson, Drew McMillan, Marcel Bear, Adrian Croucher, Simon Cuming, Jason Erskine, Bridget Johnson, Sean Kerr, James McCarthy, Derek Tearne and Nell Thomas.
