The Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra's Principal Oboe, Bede Hanley steps to the front of the orchestra to play the Oboe Concerto by American composer Christopher Rouse.

Also on the programme, the gloriously lush re-imagining of baroque music by Ottorino Respighi in Ancient Airs and Dances, Suite No 3, and Mendelssohn takes a trip to Scotland for his Symphony No 3 in A minor.
