Tchaikovsky: Symphony No 4 in F minor

From Music Alive, 8:01 pm on 5 September 2015

The fourth symphony is concerned with fate, a fate that Tchaikovsky felt dealt him a weak nature - perhaps referring to the vulnerability of his mental health that often left him with creative paralysis. It's dedicated to his friend and patron Nadezhda von Meck.

Orchestra Wellington/Marc Taddei.
Recorded at the Michael Fowler Centre, Wellington by RNZC
