Don’t Panic
Harrison Birtwistle, who stunned Proms audience with Panic in 1993, turns 83 this week. We celebrate with one of his most beautiful works, Earth Dances, described as a Rite Of Spring for the 1980s. Also, John Adams – yes that’s the John Adams – speaks to Eva Radich live on the phone from LA; and Leonie Holmes is touring with the NZSO.
