Michael Jamieson has established the NZ Classical Saxophone Summer School to provide an intensive course for advancing saxophonists. Set in stunning Puritawa Estate, in the shadow of Mt Taranaki, Michael teaches classical saxophone performance at Auckland University School of Music and has attracted top players from Australia and Portugal to tutor the Waitangi weekend intensive.

New Zealand born artist Jess Johnson talks to Melbourne correspondent Vincent O'Donnell about her exhibition Wurm Haus : a series of geometrical, pastel-toned psychedelic prints that bring to mind fantastical worlds and video games. It's showing at the National Gallery of Victoria.
Finola Dwyer
New Zealand film Producer Finola Dwyer has been nominated for an Oscar for her film Brooklyn based on a Colm Tóibín novel. She talks about the phenomenal success she's had working with British writer Nick Hornby and actress Saoirse Ronan, who are also up for Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Actress respectively for the story of a young Irish immigrant to Brooklyn, New York in the 1950's.
