Retro resurgence

From Upbeat, 1:40 pm on 7 October 2016

Four short plays by American playwright Tennessee Williams will be on stage at the Basement in Auckland later this month. These rarely done early works share a common theme with William’ later famous plays:  post-depression America, social conservatism and intolerance of those who are different.  Actors Emma Deakin and Paul Trimmer discuss the model of experienced actors working with younger performers for this Black Doris production.
