Leading New Zealand contemporary composer Lyell Cresswell has been named as one of five Laureate Award recipients in this year’s Arts Foundation Awards. He accepted the award last night along with writer Eleanor Catton, graphic novelist Dylan Horrocks, visual artist Peter Robinson and film maker Taika Waititi. Lyell explains why he loves living in Scotland, how his music has evolved, and what it means to be recognized by his homeland.
