    A selection of traditional reels, jigs and airs performed by master of the Irish concertina, Noel Hill. In this recording he is joined by Arty McGlynn, Steve Conney (gtrs), Alec Finn (bouzouki), Liam O'Connor (fiddle) and Brian McGrath (keyboards)

    Singer Iarla Ó Lionáird, best known as the lead vocalist for the Afro Celt Sound System, blends the old with the new in a collection of original pieces and arrangements. A exponent of sean-nós (literally 'old style'), a style common in traditional Irish singing, Ó Lionáird places his songs in an ambient setting, interspersing sampled voices, and programmed loops with the vocals and instruments (Noel Hill NHCD 002; Real World CDRW 126)
