Chocolate Chip Biscuits

10:00 pm on 24 January 2005

This chocolate chip biscuit is substantial and certainly more sustaining than the packet made version and I know for a fact that they always get eaten. I rely on a couple of these as the baseline nutrition for one of my boys. If any dieticians out there have a problem with that they can sit with him at lunchtime. These biscuits are quick and easy to make, we've trained the eleven year old.

Makes about 26.

Ingredients

  • 300g Flour
  • 240g butter
  • 270g sugar
  • 2 small eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 250g chocolate drops, or chips.

Method

Cream the butter, sugar with the vanilla in a food processor.

When the mixture has lightened a little add the two eggs and process a further minute

Mix with the flour and chocolate using a wooden spoon.

Form into table tennis ball sized lumps on a baking tray and press with a fork.

Bake in a 165 oven for about 14 mins, until lightly golden brown.
