Ingredients

  • 500g butter (unsalted)
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp ground cinnamon

Method

Roughly chop up the butter and place in a bowl. Leave in a warm place until soft (but not melted). Once the butter is pliable, add the maple syrup and cinnamon.

Mix with a wooden spoon until fully incorporated. This can also be achieved by using a whisk and a cake mixer if preferred.

While the maple butter is soft, spoon it into a line on some cling wrap, then twist the ends, so it's rolled up like a sausage.

Refrigerate until required, and serve with buttermilk pancakes, bacon and cherries.
