The Solomon Islands opposition spokesperson on Foreign Affairs, Alfred Sasako has condemned Australia for suggesting that there was no evidence of injuries or fatalities from Cyclone Zoe.
Mr Sasako says statements from Ausaid officials to media indicating that a RAAF reconaissance flight over Anuta and Tikopia found no evidence of injuries or fatalities were stupid, insensitive and insulting.
He says that you cannot be so sure when flying at an altitude of between 500 and 1-thousand feet that there are no casulaties.
Mr Sasako says that there are too many assumptions and that until a team is on the ground it's silly to make them especially when dealing with a situation involving people's lives.
