Officials in the northern pacific territory of Guam say the power authority is facing repair bills of more than 52 million US dollars following typhoon Pongsona.

The bulk of the damage was to power poles, lines and transformers.

Power crews have been working daily to restore electricity since the storm hit last month.

But the enormous amount of damage means some homes may be without power for two months.
