NZ government appoints board for domestic Pacific radio network

The New Zealand government has announced the board of trustees for a new domestic Pacific radio network.

The seven-member board will be chaired by South Auckland Barrister, Leatigagaeono Simativa Perese, and is to provide direction for network which is due to begin broadcasting later this year.

The government is providing more than 3-point-4 million US dollars to establish the network, which will have regional input and be run on a non-profit basis.
