A Fiji doctor says ten of his patients have tested positive for degue fever.
Dr Wahid Khan, has told Fiji TV he does not know how many cases have been treated by other doctors and at government health centres.
But he says town and city councils and health authorities should institute counter measures now before lives are lost.
In previous outbreaks of dengue in Fiji, scores of people have died and up to one hundred thousand have been laid up sick
