Solomon Islands police arrest suspect in killing of New Zealander, Kevin O'Brien

Solomon Islands radio reports that police have arrested a person suspected of killing New Zealander Kevin O'Brien, in Honiara in early February.

Mr O'Brien, a supervisor with Fletcher Construction, was stabbed in his office, apparently by a disgruntled worker .

Police Minister, Benjamin Una, announced the arrest during a ceremony in which a number of government ministers signed the "No Gun Declaration" at Parliament House.

Mr Una says the suspect is in custody in the Malaita Provincial capital, Auki.
