American Samoa hospital blamed for death of child

A 24 year old American Saomoan woman has filed a complaint of negligence against the Government owned LBJ Hospital over the death of her three year old daughter in February this year.

The woman says the girl died after she had taken her to the hospital on three occasions because she was running a high fever.

She says the hospital refused to admit the girl.

The child died of pneumonia.

And the local newspaper Samoa News says last month an employee of the paper died after being turned away bny hospital authorities.
