Seven crew, including the captain, have remained on board a stranded freighter near Solomon Islands' Temotu Province, while 123 passengers are on their way to Honiara on a police patrol boat.
They were lifted off the stricken freighter, the Endeavour Two, last evening.
The freighter, which transports essential goods to the outer islands has been drifting since Monday, after its engines broke down.
Search and Rescue says tonight it expects to dispatch another ship to tow the Endeavour Two to Honiara.
