Fiji's Nadi International Airport has been put on alert as hundreds of delegates arrive for a summit of leaders from the African, Caribbean and Pacific group of countries.
Radio Fiji reports that this was after firemen searched two boxes on an Air Pacific flight bound for Brisbane.
The radio quotes a source at Nadi Airport as saying flight FJ 921 was delayed for about two hours.
The drama began when three passengers decided to get off the plane as it was ready to take off.
They left behind two boxes which triggered the alarm.
The boxes were searched but were found to contain personal items.
