Mr Bachu says his protest is to show anyone who supports the Qarase government that is illegal and in breach of the constitution.

Delegates from 77 countries are expected at the summit meeting, and Mr Bachu says he will continue his protest until his message is heard.

"I shall remain on hunger strike until the end of the ACP meeting and until every single delegation departs from my homeland. This is a protest to show that anyone who supports the illegal government, is in breach of the constitution of Fiji."
