A Samoan MP Taua Kitiona has appeared in the Apia District Court charged with negligent driving causing injury and failing to produce a driver's licence.
The Samoa Observer newspaper said Taua, who is the undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport and MP for Aleipata Itupa I Lalo, pleaded not guilty to both charges.
The court heard that Taua was involved in a car accident on June the 19th which injured Atina'e Fonoti.
The vehicle Taua was driving belonged to the Samoa Shipping Corporation.
His case was adjourned until the 23rd Janurary next year.
