The United States Department of Health has awarded American Samoa a quarter of a million dollars to support primary health care in the territory.

The funds are said to be in line with President Bush's initiative to expand health care services for people without insurance.

The grant will provide expanded medical, dental, and substance abuse services to American Samoans.
