Governor of American Samoa declares Sept11th a Day of Solemn Observance

The governor of American Samoa, Tauese Sunia, has declared that September the 11th will be a Day of Solemn Observance throughout the territory.

In a proclamation released over the weekend, he said the unparalleled act of terrorism had galvanised American resolve to ensure human freedom throughout the world.

Governor Tauese also ordered all flags in America Samoa to be flown at half mast and for residents to participate in a government sponsored memorial service.
