Police in Samoa are yet to name the three victims of a murder last week.

They have said the murder involved three family members from the village of Sa'anapu and all were shot dead.

They also say they believe the three victims were part of a murder-suicide by a 73-year old man.

They say he entered his sister's house, shot her son, then her and finally turned the gun on himself.

The sister was 65 and her son was 47 years old.

The cause of the incident is believed to be a land dispute.
