3 pro-independence members of the New Caledonian government won't change offices

The three pro-independence members of the New Caledonian government are expected to hold a media conference at the beginning of this week to explain why they have refused to move into new offices.

Those who decided to boycott the move include the vice president, Dewe Gorodey, who objected to shift his office from the Foch building to premises on a Noumea bay.

The president, Pierre Frogier, has told the newspaper, Nouvelles Caledoniennes, that he regrets that the members of the FLNKS movement have resisted the move.

Reports say the move of the offices is being viewed as subordinating the territorial government to the government of the southern province.
