US authorities are preparing to deport 17 Fiji nationals who were found to be staying illegally in Seattle.
Radio Fiji says the US Immigration and Naturalisation Service arrested the 17 as they were fundraising to attend Fiji Day Celebrations in Honolulu this weekend.
The radio says a former Fiji woman residing in Seattle tipped off the authorities after a fallout with one of the group.
They were then arrested.
