The Vanuatu Commodities Marketing Board is reported to try to fulfill its obligations to an Australian company to avert court action.

The Board is reportedly set to deliver copra to the company, Holland Commodities International, after getting a 50-thousand US dollar advance from it.

Our correspondent says a shipment is ready in Luganville on Santo island as the board is being threatened with legal action for failing to meet its contractual obligation.

He says the government is keen for the company to be provided with the copra in order to be spared legal costs.
