The Commonwealth Ministerial Action Group has decided to keep Solomon Islands on its agenda to maintain focus and support.

The decision was made during a meeting of the group in London.

The Solomon Island Broadcasting Corporation says the Commonwealth Group has asked the Secretary General to provide technical and other assistance to the Solomons.

They said this should include relevant experts, particularly those who could help strengthen democratic institutions and processes.

During the meeting, the group commended the Prime Minister, Sir Alan Kemakeza, and his government, for their efforts under difficult circumstances, to restore law and order.
