"The government has put december 5th, as the tentative date to start the budget session of parliament. Cabinet sources say the government is trying to put together the balanced budget of more than one hundred million american dollars. The sources say, the government wants to have an estimated revenue budget of more than fifty million dollars and the same amount for the expenditure estimates. The Cabinet is presently tussling over whether to reduce or increase the revenue budget estimates. Many Ministers realize Solomon Islands needs to export more, in order that the government can collect adequate income to meet increased expenditure estimates."
