American Samoa's incumbent Congressman, Faleomavaenga Eni Hunkin has been returned to office for an unprecedented eight term after defeating first time candidate, Fagafaga Daniel Langkilde, in this weeks run-off election.

According to unofficial results announced on state-run television, Faleomavaenga retained his seat with a majority of 876.

This is the fourth time that he has faced a run-off election after failing to achieve the required 50 per cent plus one vote in the first round of voting.
