A special advisor to the Solomon Islands Prime Minister has been attacked and injured at his home.

Robert Goh was shot in the stomach.

He has undergone surgery at the National Referral Hospital and is said to be in a stable condition.

Police at the Central Station who attended the scene say no-one has been arrested and so far there are no details over what type of weapon was used.

Mr Goh was appointed advisor to the Prime Minister, Sir Allan Kemikeza, earlier this year and heads up a think tank which operates from the Office of the Prime Minister.
