Security has been stepped up around the residence of Solomon Islands prime minister, Sir Allan Kemakeza, after a group of special constables fired about seven shots at the building yesterday afternoon.
The men are said to have been angered by the government's refusal to pay a compensation claim in full.
Police rushed extra armed officers to Sir Allan's residence and blocked roads leading to the house and to parliament.
Parliament was adjourned until Monday.
A police officer says one of the attackers has been caught and taken into custody
The group is said to have included some members of the former Marau Eagle Force.
