A storm which buffeted southern Tuvalu over the Christmas period has developed into an intensifying tropical cyclone code-named Zoe.
Reports place the cyclone at 10 point 9 degrees south, 173 point 2 degrees east moving westwards at about 8 knots.
The cyclone, which is intensifying and could affect Northern Vanuatu some time tomorrow, has winds near the centre estimated at 60 knots and increasing.
