The New Zealand Trade Negotiations Minister, Jim Sutton, has restated his commitment for New Zealand to certify the importation of Samoan breadfruit and pawpaw.
Samoan officials say they have complied with all New Zealand requirements to treat the produce, but New Zealand quarantine officials have yet to approve the process.
Samoa stands to boost its revenues by hundreds of thousands of dollars if the exports are cleared.
Mr Sutton says he is aware of the obstacles.
"These are technical problems. We have to be careful but there is every intention and every piece of goodwill to solve these problems so the trade can develop."
