Fiji Television Limited has declared an interim dividend of 8-cents for each 1-Fiji dollar share for the half year ending December the 31st.
The company says the dividend follows strong results for the six months.
For the last full financial year, Fiji TV paid 15 cents for each 1-dollar share but the dividend this year is expected to be higher.
The company has applied to the government to have its monopoly extended for another ten years and says it is confident of getting it despite strong opposition from disgruntled viewers through letters in local newspapers.
