The Solomon Isalnds National Teachers Association has warned of a sit-in protest by its members this week.
The Association's Secretary General, Fred Taika, said the protest action was over the government's failure to pay four salary arrears, one of which was due last week.
Mr Taika told the Solomon Islands Broadcasting Corporation that all classes and classroom activites would be suspended today
