American Samoan governor off to Hawaii for medical tests

The Governor of American Samoa, Tauese Sunia, has been flown to Honolulu for medical tests after being admitted to hospital at the weekend.

The Lieutenant Governor, Togiola Tulafono, says the tests are a precautionary measure, after Tauese he was admitted to the local LBJ Hospital with abdominal pains.

Togiola says he spoke with Tauese before he departed for Honolulu, and the Governor had been able to sit up and also walk without assistance.
