Japan is to host a third forum for Pacific Island leaders next week.
The Japan-Pacific Islands Forum Summit meeting will gather the leaders of Japan and 16 other countries to discuss a range of topics from education to security to trade.
The Japanese foreign ministry says the discussions will be held in Okinawa on May the 16th and the 17th.
Leaders from the 16 member countries of the Pacific Islands Forum have been invited to attend.
