The local MP for the area where the killing took place, Alfred Sasako, says he has called on the local people to help bring those responsible to justice.
He said he had instructed Paramount Chief John Maena'adi to mobilize all Kawaio chiefs, community and church leaders.
Mr. Sasako says he is encouraged by the fact that Kawaio has a reputation for helping police in apprehending people involved in similar incidents in the past.
