Flags are being flown half mast in American Samoa following the death of Senator Sala Samiu.
The Ituau senator died in Honolulu at the beginning of the week, aged 62.
Senator Sala's body will brought back from Hawaii tonight.
Funeral services are scheduled for mid week and will include a lying in state at the Fono guest house and a memorial service.
