The Solomon islands cabinet will decide today on the first draft of the proposed federal government system.
The first draft has been completed after months of consultation with traditional political leaders and other stakeholders from the country's nine provinces.
After cabinet's endorsement the second part of the review will begin with the draft taken back to the provinces for further consultation.
The government is hoping to table the completed bill during its November/December sitting.
