The producers of the US television reality show, Survivor, have deferred filming in Palau because of delays in completing a shoot in Panama.
Palau was the frontrunner for the next show of the CBS programme and plans were to be finalised for filming within two months.
But scouts for the producers say the filming is so much behind scheduled that Palau may have to wait until next year.
The island country, which relies on tourism, has already been the scene of the Japanese version of the Survivior series.
