Fiji nurses to go into retirement business

The Fiji Nurses Association is planning to go into business by building a retirement village worth over half-a-million US dollars.

The association secretary, Kuini Lutua, has told the Fiji Sun the village would be built in the west because of its favourable weather conditions and would target retirees from overseas.

Ms Lutua says overseas retirees have money and want quality care from professionals which retired nurses would be able to provide.

She says the project received overwhelming support from members of the association at their annual general meeting last weekend.
